Kareena fumes on ‘nude’ question!!

New Delhi media was in for a shock as Kareena Kapoor staged a walk out of a press conference in the city where she was present to promote her upcoming film Kambakkht Ishq. Visibly upset and fuming with anger, she marched towards her suite when a female reporter questioned her if she would be willing to go totally nude for camera if the script demanded so.

Informs an onlooker who was present at the venue, “The question shocked her. Just a few minutes back, she had patiently handled queries regarding her professional life. She had also commented around wearing a bikini in Tashan and now Kambakkht Ishq mainly because the ‘script demanded it’. Though averse to doing so in future projects, she admitted that she would keep the subject and story in mind and would do ‘anything’ that is required by the script.”

Though it was a diplomatic stand on affairs, things went a little too far when an over zealous reported popped the question – ‘Would you mind going nude for a role?’ “This was it”, adds the source, “Kareena lost her cool at that very moment and rather than choosing to blast the reporter and create a scene, she simply aborted her stay at the press conference. The flabbergasted reporter didn’t know what hit her. The event coordinator too felt disgusted about the entire incident and found himself in trouble as this situation was totally unforeseen.”

The source continues, “There were problems for Kareena from the very beginning of the event. First and foremost the chosen venue itself wasn’t conducive enough to handle a large media that had assembled. Around 100 odd reporters and journalists had gathered in a room that wasn’t large enough to host a mega celebrity press conference like this. With the claustrophobic venue not helping the cause enough, queries like these were enough for Kareena to blow her fuse.”

For media and the film, director Sabbir Khan came to rescue though. He handled the situation well by staying on at the venue and continued to interact with the reporters. “Yes, Kareena was justified in walking out but Sabbir too did all to ensure that promotion of Kambakkht Ishq didn’t get impacted”, says a fellow reporter, “He realises that the film is just a few days away and didn’t want any bad blood to spoil the show. He had a thin rope to walk on and did pretty well in rescuing the event from turning into a complete disaster.”

‘What’s Your Rashee’ has 13 songs!!

Ashutosh Gowariker is one film-maker who is least perturbed by the length/running time of his films. If a story has to be conveyed most convincingly and if it requires more than 3 hours to narrate it, Ashu would do just that. His last three films – LAGAAN, SWADES and JODHAA AKBAR – had a running time of more than 3 hours. In fact, in the case of JODHAA AKBAR, it’s said that Ashu had brought down the running time from almost 4 hours to 3.20 hours.

Now, looks like his latest film WHAT’S YOUR RAASHEE? might follow his earlier films as far as the running time is concerned. In fact, not many are aware that there are as many as 13 songs in WHAT’S YOUR RAASHEE?. “Yes, 13 songs,” the talented film-maker confirms. Won’t that make it a lengthy experience? “But when have I ever got deterred by the length of the film?” pat comes the reply. Very true!

Ad: Katrina/Neil on Dus Ka Dum with Salman!!

Katrina finally gets a partner!!

Sometime back, Katrina Kaif was said to have been searching for a partner to appear on Salman Khan’s TV game show “10 Ka Dum”.

Katrina and Salman are said to be left with few friends in the industry, which made it difficult for Kat to find a partner. But now the search is over.

Her “New York” co-star Neil Nitin Mukesh finally agreed to be on show with Katrina. Together they will promote “New York’ on the show.

John Abraham, who also features in the film, was absent from the show’s shooting which took place earlier this week.

According to sources, John too was invited on the show but he chose to remain absent – one reason could be that he was nursing his fractured foot and hence could not come for the shoot; second could be that after his alleged link-up with Sallu’s girlfriend, he did not want to face Salman and his personal sarcastic questions, and that too in front of Katrina.

Meanwhile, those present during the shoot say Katrina was in a light-hearted mood and seemed relaxed on the show. Even Neil seemed to have enjoyed his first appearance on a television reality show.

We are eagerly looking forward to this episode of “10 Ka Dum”.

Last season, when Katrina appeared on this show, Salman was openly affectionate and indulgent. But a lot seems to have happened in their lives since then so it will be interesting to see if their relationship has been affected by these developments or not.

Shahid ditchs the IIFA Awards also!!

This year’s IIFA event at Macau seems to have ran into trouble as most of the A grade stars have backed out of the event. Saif-Kareena and Shahid won’t be attending the event while Priyanka and Hrithik will only make an appearance but not perform.

Shahid’s back-out at the last minute surprised us as just few days back the actor had confirmed the news about his performance at IIFA. Even the track on which he would be performing was declared.

Shahid revealed, “I was looking forward to performing at IIFA and showcasing Kaminey, however my commitment to my producer has to be honoured and I regret being unable to attend this year.”

A close friend of Shahid revealed, “The actor was looking forward to his performance at IIFA but the the dates could not be adjusted as 3 of his films (Kaminey, Pathshala & Yashraj Films untitled) are ready for release and there is patchwork shoot remaining for Ken Ghosh’s untitled film. Since the dates of IIFA were clashing with the dates he had committed to a producer, Shahid has had to pull out of IIFA this year.”

One thing is for sure with no Shahid and Hrithik performamce at IIFA, Bollywood fans around the globe will surely miss watching Bollywood’s best dancing heroes and their impeccable dancing…
