Back in the saddle after 3-Idiots, Kareena has 2010 sorted out. She’s flying to Bangkok, then Paris, then Switzerland for her various commercial endorsements.

Bebo has renewed as many as 10 advertising contracts and will fly across the globe lending brand value to lifestyle and fashion products. As far as the movies go, she’s on a rampage too.

If Katrina Kaif issues ultimatums to film-makers like Prakash Jha, Abbas-Mustan and Farah Khan asking them to increase her role in the movies, Bebo does better. Trade sources say director Rohit Shetty who is making Golmaal-3, will have just her, and her alone as the female lead.

On the fuss about Golmaal-3 Bebo says that, “I’m not the sort who tells film-makers what to do. The script is around this one girl. And yes, there are no other heroines in the film because that’s the way they wanted it.” She refuses to confirm her fee but she doesn’t dismiss the trade tattle on her being the highest paid Bollywood heroine either. Refraining from commenting on the Rs 7-crore price tag that is being talked about, Bebo says, “God, I never asked to be in the papers everyday. If the media keeps writing about my price or even my size what can I do?” Flaunting her size zero measurements she says, “I was amused to read somewhere that I had put on weight. If I get any thinner then I’ll be a hanger.

Designers can hang their clothes on me.” To this boyfriend Saif says, “I’d like her to be slightly more rounded; but well, she knows best.” In three weeks time, Kareena will romance Bollywood’s biggest star Shah Rukh Khan in his home production RA 1. And there are rumours that she may team up with Hrithik Roshan in Karan Johar’s remake of Agneepath.

“Look I don’t want to dignify rumours,” she pleads. “Why talk of films that may or may not happen when there is so much already happening. I’m finishing the Hindi version of Step-Mom which is turning out to be fabulous. It’s a highly emotional film. And, with Kajol and me there, you know it will have the required drama. Then, there’s Saif ’s Agent Vinod.

Kareena and Ranbir as Couple! Acceptable?

They’re two of India’s biggest Bollywood stars. Yet, they may never be paired opposite each other on-screen. Reason: Actors Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor are first cousins. That’s the predicament filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s has found himself in, while finalizing the cast of his next film, Rockstar.

Ali feels the Kapoors suit the roles perfectly, but ‘the audience will never accept them as a romantic duo.’ ‘I’d love to have Kareena in my film, but I’m also in talks with Ranbir. If he agrees, I’ll have to drop Kareena. I know she will hate me if I cast her brother and not her. But it can’t be helped. The audience won’t accept. So, whoever comes up with their dates first, bags my movie.’

Ali is not alone – several other filmmakers are weary of casting the cousins in a romantic role. Says Rock On!! director Abhishek Kapoor, ‘I’m not comfortable siblings romancing on screen. The chemistry would be too twisted, unless, of course, the film deals with incest.” Film producer Madhu Mantena explains why the Indian audience won’t be able to digest such a pairing. “Because of the joint family system that a lot of us have grown up in, it is never easy to accept.” What the audience wants

So has the Indian audience not matured to the idea of cinematic liberty? “No, Indians, of course, will have a problem, because they never think anything is just on-screen. I don’t think there will ever be a day when we shall be okay with seeing cousins kiss on-screen,” says adman Prahlad Kakkar. Talking about acting with Ranbir, Kareena said, ‘Maybe Ranbir and I should do a film, act as friends, or as brother and sister, but as lovers… I don’t know.., maybe if the audience wants.’

Is Kareena the female Shahrukh??

Of course the comparison can’t be ignored. SRK and Kareena Kapoor aka Bebo are similar in many ways. Not only are they having a packed calendar ahead, but both SRK and Bebo are commanding some of the highest fee according to latest reports.

With her film 3 IDIOTS making new records at the box-office and the fact that Kareena has got some fresh endorsements in place for which she will be globe-trotting, her busy schedule makes her no different from SRK, who is the busiest male star at the moment.

Moreover, with recent reports that Bebo has hiked her fee to Rs 7 crore a film, Kareena Kapoor can rightfully be called the female SRK of the industry.

Arjun joins Twitter..Kareena next!

Karan Johar has brought another Bollywood actor on Twitter, it’s none other than the National Award Winner Arjun Rampal, The ”Rock On” star has joined the micro blogging site Twitter today.

Earlier Karan Johar had encouraged Ranbeer Kapoor and the King Khan Shah Rukh to join Twitter.

Who’s the victim..Shahid or Shahrukh?

Karan Johar was supposed to host a segment with Shahid Kapoor but backed out just a day before and Shah Rukh Khan was brought in. When Shahid came to know that SRK was going to host the Star Screen Awards with him, he knew SRK would surely pick on him and perhaps steal the limelight. So, to match up to King Khan, he decided to get a nerdy look, where he dressed up like one, with spectacles, so it would look part of the act when he played victim to SRK’s jokes.

Later, of course, the actor tweeted that SRK had taken care of him onstage as an elder brother would… so, no fears next time, Shahid?
