All the A-list directors want to work with you. Does that give you a kick?
I believe that you have to be the right person at the right time in the movies. I guess today these filmmakers are writing subjects for younger heroes. They’ve worked with all the superstars who are in a particular age bracket. Now they probably want to explore ideas or want to tell stories which need younger actors. Today of course, you have Shahid Kapoor, Imran Khan, Harman Baweja and Prateik. They have quite a choice. I just feel that I’m the right guy at the right time. I’m humbled that such good filmmakers want to work with me, that slowly I am ticking off from my list the names of filmmakers I aspired to work with. It only makes me greedy to want to do better and bigger stuff in the future.

 Coming to your personal life, talk is that Deepika Padukone and you are back together.
No. Deepika and I shared a lovely relationship. Everyone knows we’re not in a relationship anymore. There’s no negativity between us. Deepika, I’ve always maintained, is one of the most amazing girls I’ve met. She’s a good person, a great talent, she works hard and she comes from a good family. And the respect I have for her, she has for me. We have common friends, sometimes when we go out we bump into each other. If she does good work in a movie, I’ll call her up and tell her, she calls me for her movie trials, I do the same. It’s a relationship I’ve made for life. If I’m not in a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship with her, we’re definitely friends. And I’d like to maintain that all my life.

 Even after the two of you broke up, you’ve kept in touch, right?
Of course. You have to be mature and deal with these things as sensitively as possible. In the end, she’ll always get more flak than the guy. That’s the unfairness of this society.  So you need to be sensitive. And when things are fine, when the troubled waters under the bridge have calmed down, you can start a friendship with your ex. It’s possible.

 You’re being linked to Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra these days…
I’ve always been open whenever anyone has asked me whether I’m in a relationship. And now when I say I’m not in a relationship you should respect that. Katrina and I have done two films (Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Raajneeti) together. Our first film together was a big hit, so people regard us as this hit onscreen couple. But if tomorrow we have a flop, people will not cast us together. It’s as simple.

 People are whispering about Priyanka chopra and you too.
Priyanka and I have just completed  Anjaana Anjaani. She’s a great actress, we all know that. She is a very good person and we really gelled. When I work in a movie, I don’t say I won’t be friendly with my co-star because I don’t want to deal with stories of linkups. I want a happy atmosphere on the sets. I want the atmosphere to be such that we just sit and talk about the movie we’re doing or about life. Just because you’re friendly with someone you’re spending a hundred days on the sets with, doesn’t mean you’re having a physical or an emotional relationship with that person. They are just two colleagues who are hanging together, discussing life and discussing movies.

 Have you ever cheated in a relationship?
No, never. And I don’t think I ever will. That’s something I’ll never do. It also depends on what kind of a relationship you are in. Sometimes two people don’t end a relationship because they are in a comfort zone. They just go on. Then someone comes along and it’s alleged that that person is the reason for their breaking up. But that third person only got noticed because things between the two of them were not working. If they were then they would not notice anyone else. No third person can break a relationship. If a relationship is working nothing can break it

We were chatting up with Neha Dhupia on ZOOM recently darlings and discussing what looks good on women and what doesn’t, when we were startled to hear an observation.

Neha actually said that while she felt that Kareena Kapoor has one of the best bodies in Bollywood, she didn’t quite think too much of the ‘size zero’ body she’d achieved. “Yes, I know it became iconic and all that, but I think Kareena looked her best in Jab We Met. The size zero is not so healthy.

And Indian women’s curves are so hot. We have the best bodies. Kareena looks better now than before. All these six-pack and eight-pack abs for guys and size zero for girls is all nonsense. It’s unhealthy.” Well well well. Will Bebo take this as a compliment? Let’s find out.

Ace Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has confirmed that he is coming back to the small screen with the third season of his popular celebrity chat show “Koffee With Karan”.

“I am indeed doing season three of ‘Koffee With Karan’. Hopefully, with new lovers, new enemies and new questions. I am doing it and I am very excited. It will be on air in August or September,” Karan told.

“Koffee With Karan” was first aired in 2004, followed by the second season in 2007. The show saw Karan in some candid conversations with celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Kareena Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra – most of whom are his friends.

The filmmaker, who is looking forward to the release of his home production “I Hate Luv Storys” July 2, was in the capital Wednesday to host Chivas Studio Spotlight as the brand ambassador of Chivas Regal.

They say time heals everything, but some wounds are different. It’s been years since Vivek Oberoi publicly crossed swords with Salman Khan, but the awkwardness between them is such that people around them can feel the uncomfortable vibes even today.

Recently Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, who are otherwise quite pally with Vivek (especially since he was their co-star in Kurbaan), effectively snubbed him at a post award party in Colombo recently, which Salman Khan also attended.

A source who was present at the event reveals, “A lot of stars present at the after party were avoiding Vivek. But it was surprising to see that even Saif and Kareena maintained their distance, because they are good friends with him.

Since Salman Khan was present, chatting up Vivek wasn’t something anyone seemed interested in doing. Salman himself didn’t say a word or even look in Vivek’s direction, but the cold vibes were apparent.”

One actor who was present at the after party confirms on condition of anonymity, “It was very apparent that Saif and Kareena were avoiding Vivek. They mingled with Salman and everyone else but kept their distance from Vivek Not that they didn’t exchange pleasantries, but it was very stiff and formal.”

Neither Kareena nor Vivek could be reached for comment.

Dubbing is easy though. I usually read the dialogues from the script and the sound guy matches it with the shot. Directors should find a way like that. Don’t you think?

Sorry I did not write in for the last 3 days. Actually, last week I attended a friend’s birthday bash and hogged chocolate cake and chips there. I had a lot of aerated drinks too (they were short of sugar free tablets).  Result: I put on 2 Kgs in one night. You know how obsessed I am with keeping fit. Thus, for the last 3 days I was working out in the gym. My weight machine says I’ve lost 4 Kgs and now I’m feeling better than ever. John’s happy too. Not that he really cares. But I do!

Just attended the Raavan promotional event. I was camouflaged by Ram and Raavan. I have to admit, my face was green. For all the cruelties my character goes through in the movie, it should’ve been named Sita.
I am bored of my Barbie-like demeanor, but Mani sir has promised that perception will change. He says people will love the proud Barbie in Raavan. Should I be happy with that?

Lara Dutta is the latest star to join Farhan Akhtar’s Don 2. The actress has been cast alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Arjun Rampal — all three who have been retained from its prequel Don.

And though producer Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan are tight-lipped about her role, a source revealed that the actress is touted to play a femme fatale in this slick-flick. However, whether Lara will be seen vying for SRK’s attention alongside Priyanka remains to be seen. A source said, “Lara’s not replacing Eesha (Koppikhar). She’s a completely new addition to the cast with an entirely new part written for her. But yes, the role will require Lara to learn some form of martial arts and she is very kicked about doing an action role.”

For Lara, it may just be a dream come true, as she had not too long ago revealed her wish of doing a hard-core action-oriented role. Incidentally, with Lara and Priyanka on board, the film teams two former Miss Indias (Universe and World, respectively) who had made their debut together in the 2003 Akshay Kumar starrer Andaz.

Actor Saif Ali Khan says he won’t join Twitter because he feels a gap should be maintained between an actor and the audiences.

“Personally, I won’t be on Twitter because I don’t feel the need. I don’t want to share my thoughts,” Saif said at an event in Mumbai. “I don’t know what I will say. And I personally feel that some distance should be maintained between the audiences and the actor. That’s my personal opinion.”

But he admitted that social networking sites serve as a wonderful platform for the publicity of a film. “It’s a wonderful platform to do the publicity of a film and it is a wonderful way to reach out to the youth as it is very, very popular. Who says so? I am here to work. What keeps me moving is good roles. And that’s what I have learnt after working in the industry. All these link ups, gossips are of no value till the time you prove your might. To be frank, I am not dating anyone.

How do you react when something is written about your so-called affairs?
I don’t believe in banging my head against the wall. Rather than making noise and trying to justify myself, I try to be keep quiet. That’s the best way to answer these rumours. Also, what matters the most today is how you act maturely and handle the situation. With the media, it’s a give and take relation, but the problem arises when they take advantage of your silence.

So, you have matured…
Yes, I think so. My perceptions have changed. Now, when I think about 2007, when I did Saawariya, I laugh. I mean when you are new in the industry you don’t know the reality. You grow up gradually and then you get to know so many things.

Don’t you get bugged at times?
Yes, I do, but can’t help it. I think it’s like paying a price of being a celebrity. Also, I can’t figure out why anyone wants to get personal. Even we are human beings and we also love our privacy. But continuous pressure leaves us with no option but to react harshly.

Are you making a mention of Hrithik’s recent fight with media?
He’s not to be blamed. I think he lost his cool because he must have felt harassed.

Are you getting mature roles as well?
Yes, I am. Rajneeti belongs to the serious genre. I play a young lad who is left with no option but to try politics. Also, in the movie Rockstar by Imitaz Ali and another with Mani Ratnam, I am doing different and mature roles.

Are you still taking tips from your dad?
He has been a great help. It’s only because of my parents that I have been able to differentiate between what’s right and what’s wrong. I keep them in the loop and consult them before doing a movie.

What according to you is love?
It’s a wonderful feeling. I think it’s something out of the world. It gives you courage as well. I think each one has a different perception, but for me it’s pious.

Did you hear about the honour killings happening, particularly the one that took place in Punjab?
Yes, I have been reading about it. I think it’s bizarre. How can one kill his/her own daughter or son? Love is not shackled in any social diktats or cultural mores. I think there has to be strict laws to deal with such cases.

And what about Khap panchayats overstepping their limits?
I fail to understand why they have been given so much power. It’s not good, particularly for the society, which has changed so much.

Do you plan to enter politics?
No, not at all. I have learnt the finer nuances of politics while doing Rajneeti, but let it be on reel only. I don’t have any plans to pursue it in real life.

You had gone to vote as well…
Yes, and at that time I felt very content. I think we all are responsible citizens and when we have a right to choose our leaders, then why not. I am happy with the way young leaders have come up. I think the political scenario is undergoing a sea change.

So, he apparently saw a whole load of Akshay Kumar movies to learn how to be a dil phek (a man who wears his heart on his sleeve). We had heard that Kareena Kapoor will do anything for Boney Kapoor’s Milenge Milenge, but the truth is far from otherwise.

The top actress has been giving grief to the producer by postponing and not giving dates to shoot the promotional video, which on her request is being shot separately, and not with Shahid.

After her break-up with Shahid Kapoor, it has become next to impossible to get both of them in the same frame. With Milenge Milenge being stuck in the pipeline for the longest time, this dilly-dallying by Bebo has been a further hindrance.

A source from the unit reveals, “On Kareena’s say they decided to shoot the promotional video separately and merge them while editing. Shahid shot his part, and Bebo still had to finish her part. But the actress kept postponing and giving her dates to her other projects. She was busy shooting for Stepmom and now it is Golmaal 3 in Goa.”

The source continues, “Boney had a word with Kareeena while she was in Goa and plans were also getting implemented for them to go shoot her part in Goa. But her hectic schedule in Goa also cancelled this plan.

Now that she is returning back to Mumbai, he plans to get her dates and finish off her portion for the promotional video as soon as possible.”

When contacted Boney he says, “The promotional video was never meant to be shot together. Shahid has already shot his part and Kareena was supposed to shoot separately her part when she was in town for Stepmom photo shoots, but it couldn’t happen then.”

He adds, “Kareena is currently in Goa shooting for Golmaal 3 and will do her part very soon. We will be shooting in an outdoor location because we require a sunset scene.”

Kareena Kapoor was unavailable for comment.

Every producer aims for a cast and director that will deliver a blockbuster.

While there are no guarantees in this industry, producer Sajid Nadiadwala has managed to get two very bankable talents together. He has signed Imtiaz Ali and Hrithik Roshan for his next film, a combination that many producers have been trying to broker for the last couple of years. The film is scheduled to go on the floors early next year.

Our source said, “Sajid Nadiadwala is the biggest producer in Bollywood today. After Housefull, he will be making the Hindi remake of South superhit Kick starring Salman Khan. His mega venture with Hrithik and Imtiaz follows Kick. Incidentally, Sajid had signed Imtiaz immediately after Jab We Met and they have been planning the film for four years. Now, Hrithik has given the go ahead and the film will be the most expensive Bollywood production. The budget will be over Rs 100 crore as it’s a genre that has never been attempted before. It is a drama-based film and has its emotional moments. It will start as soon as Imtiaz is done with his film Rockstar with Ranbir and in all likelihood, the film will go on the floors in January-February next year.”

Even the parties involved are very optimistic about the outcome. The source added, “Imtiaz wanted to work with Hrithik immediately after Jab We Met. However, he went on to make Love Aaj Kal and now finally he is making the film with him.”

When contacted, Hrithik Roshan confirmed the news.

On the other hand, Sajid Nadiadwala said, “It is true that I am making the film with Imtiaz Ali but I can’t comment on the casting as of now.”

Now the story can be told. You know, don’t you, that the gorgeous Deepika Padukone shimmered down the red carpet at Cannes on Friday wearing a saree by designer Rohit Bal.

There’s a reason why she chose the Indian national costume for her first major international appearance. The actress told BT from the French Riviera, “When I started modelling, I promised myself that whenever I attend an international event, I’d wear a saree and not western clothes. I get enough opportunities at home to wear western clothes. When I’m seen at an international event I’d rather be fully Indian.”

She cleverly declined to comment on the fact that Cannes regular Aishwarya Rai Bachchan appeared on the red carpet in a gown. “I wouldn’t like to comment on others,” said Deepika, adding that she finds the saree very sensuous and “it felt good to be so Indian so far away from home”. However, the goss is that Cannes first-timer Deepika had made discreet inquiries about what Ash would be wearing before deciding her own look. No matter, the two lovely Indian actresses made spectators’ day at the film festival by proving that variety is indeed the spice and curry of life.

Her moment on the red carpet aside, Deepika apparently has not found Cannes exciting enough. She said she hardly met anyone at the film festival except German F1 superstar Michael Schumacher and caught just one film, the French Tournee, which she enjoyed. So, on Day 2, Deepika set off on her own to take in the sights and sounds of the scenic seaside town. “There’s so much to Cannes besides the festival,” she said. “The first time I came here was in 2002. Not for the festival but as a tourist. And I remember standing outside the venue and taking pictures. I had promised myself that next time… I’d be back as part of the film festival… and here I am.”

Aamir Khan loves Salman Khan unconditionally. And, in Aamir’s footsteps is his nephew, Imran Khan, who recently confessed that he is “crazy about bhai”. Just the other day Imran was giving interviews for Karan Johar’s I Hate Luv Stories at a Bandra studio. Salman was expected to arrive for the shooting of Dabangg on the next set. Though he was neck-deep in work, Imran asked his valet to keep an eye out for “bhai’s car”.

“The moment bhai arrives, I would like to go down and say hello to him,” said Imran. Gushing uncontrollably about his fondness for Salman, Imran added, “I have idolised him since my childhood. I remember my mother pointing out to Salman years ago and telling me, ‘That is Salim saab’s son.’ Salman was a dude even then.”

Admitting that he doesn’t exactly know what it is about Bollywood’s enfant terrible that he finds interesting, Imran said, “For me, the man is a mystery that I am trying to unravel. In my head is a plan to bring out a coffee table book on bhai. I just want each page to have one small aspect of Salman with exclusive photographs. I’m actually gathering different accounts on him from various people so that I can compile them to make my book.”

Imran has one desire. “I want to spend a night drinking with Salman. Unfortunately, at the moment, I’m on a super strict diet and I’m not touching any alcohol. But some day in the near future, I plan to ask Salman if I can spend an evening with him.” Salman’s not the only one in Salim saab’s house, who Imran’s fond of. He shares a great rapport with Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan who played his chachas (uncles) in Jaane Tu… “Ever since then, they treat me like their nephew. Priyanka Chopra who is currently in Coorg shooting for Vishal Bhardwaj’s Saat Khoon Maaf got a day off on Monday, along with the rest of the cast and crew, as co-star Naseeruddin Shah was unwell. The unit decided to make the most of it by throwing an impromptu party.

Says a close source, “It was a difficult scene, but when the tape began to roll Kareena surprised everyone by flawlessly delivering it in one ‘take’. Everyone’s eyes were moist.”

Filmmaker Karan Johar’s favourite actress Kareena Kapoor probably is a true follower of his slogan: “It’s all about loving your family”. In fact, Bebo lives by this slogan.

No wonder, she just wants to act with two people these days-boyfriend Saif Ali Khan and elder sister Karisma Kapoor-and her favourite actor has changed over a period of time from Shah Rukh Khan to Chhote Nawab.

“Saif is my favourite actor in Bollywood and Shah Rukh is family. The only actress I wanted to share screen space with is Karisma,” says Kareena.

Probably it is the smart way of extending the family, after all everyone knows Saif is the love of Bebo’s life so he is bound to be her favourite. But then she could not upset the Badshah of Bollywood so Bebo quickly included him in her big Bollywood family.

About her favourite female actor Kareena had no confusion at all. No Deepikas, Priyankas or Bipashas, but sister Karisma topped her list.

“I would love to work with my sister because I have always been a great fan of her. She was a true star. Hopefully I will get to work with her at some point of my career,” says Kareena.

Shahid Kapoor is on the groom wish list of many. But earlier this week, an Iranian woman created a ruckus at Mumbai international airport when she demanded to meet Shahid so that she could marry him .

Parvena Fagari was clutching an album of Shahid’s photos, and desperately seeking his address. Attempts to placate her led to an angry Fagari tearing up her passport!

“Airport officials handed her over to the police. Officers at Sahar Police Station said she must have seen Shahid’s latest flick and followed him to Mumbai,” said Arwind Shirke, sub-inspector, Sahar Police Station. Police have informed the Iranian Embassy as she has no money and no passport to return to her country.

Saif Ali Khan’s long-delayed home production Agent Vinod is about to take off with a brief schedule on May 24, in Mumbai.

But the real whammer of a schedule comes later when Saif and Kareena leave for Ouarzazate in Morocco. They shoot a key combat sequence there that features the couple in a one-to-one fight to the finish. Kareena has not yet started training for this sequence but Saif is more or less ready. Ouarzazate is an exotic and rugged place where no Indian film has ever been shot. But Hollywood has made Lawrence Of Arabia, The Living Daylights and Gladiator there. The intricate fight sequence requires months of preparation. Saif has been toning up his physique for this. But Kareena, who’s currently playing Shah Rukh Khan’s wife in Anubhav Sinha’s RA One, needs to change her body language to sport a super-svelte look for the fight with her lover-boy in Ouarzazate.

She comes from a totally non-filmi background and is just three-movies-old in Bollywood, but Mugdha Godse trusts her own instinct when it comes to taking up new projects.

The actress, who got her first big break in Bollywood with Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Fashion’ two years ago, credits her own good judgement for the choices she made.

“I am a hardcore Leo who doesn’t listen to anyone. That’s the way I have always been, I follow my heart. I have come from Pune to Mumbai on my own and this is the way I intend to stay on in this industry as well,” Mugdha told PTI.

After debuting with Madhur Bandarkar’s ‘Fashion’, the former model went on to do ‘All The Best’ which raked in the moolah at the box-office.

Though her third release ‘Jail’, again with Bhandarkar, didn’t do well commercially it was critically acclaimed. The actress then signed on a horror film ‘Help’ opposite Bobby Deol, a decision that surprised many.

But the 27-year-old actress is unapologetic about her choice and says that though the younger Deol brother may have hit a slump, he still is in a class of his own.

“When it comes to Bobby, he has his own legacy. Working with Deols is always good fun. I have always been a big fan of Dharamji and Sunny. They have a class of their own. He is a thorough gentleman and a very nice co-star to work with,” said the actress.

Mughdha believes in moving at a slow but steady pace in Bollywood and has no plans to go on a signing spree.
“Honestly speaking, it is the script of ‘Help’ which attracted me a lot. There were offers but I did not want to sign up films for the sake of it. When I look back, at least half of these films didn’t even take off. But then I guess my good judgement paid off here,” said the actress.

Mugdha believes that it is not the so called ‘market value’ of the stars which results in a film’s success, but it’s the script which matters the most.

“Everyone has good and bad times. It is a matter of one Friday that can change your destiny. What one should look at is the script. Whenever a film works, it does because of it’s script and not the stars. Stars help when it comes to the opening but beyond that it’s the script that works,” she said.

The actress who entered Bollywood after spending many years as a model, says that though she follows nothing but her own instinct when it comes to choosing films, she does have a few trusted friends she turns to for advice.

“Since I have been fortunate enough to have worked with some really senior and respected people, I do listen to their comments and their point of views. But then eventually I do what makes me feel alright,” she said.
‘Help’, produced by Sanjay Ahluwalia and Vinay Chowksey, the makers of another horror film ‘Click’ and directed by Rajiv Virani is aiming for a June/July release.

Truly, he’s a bigger global icon than anyone else at this point in time – Brad Pitt included (if Time magazine is to be believed). The Badshah of Bollywood gave some memorable quotes in a question-and-answer session with Zoom recently. Some excerpts…

You were missing in action most of 2009, but 2010 seems to be the year of ‘Khan’…
We have to give other actors a chance. So I thought, let people make hay while the sun is away. I’m just kidding.

That sounds slightly bad…
It sounds little harsh, I guess. I do about two-three films and I like working more than that, but it kind of takes away from me as a person. But then there must be a reason. I must’ve done something wrong to get injured (shoulder). I’m overdone, with all the sins paid for. And thirdly, I got a chance to spend quality time with my kids. If I spend time with them now, they won’t be as whacky and bad as I am.

Farah Khan is making her next with Akshay Kumar. How much has that changed your friendship and equation with her?
Personally, it hasn’t. People assume this question will anger me. It doesn’t bother me. She has done a film with me. Now she’s doing one with someone else. I’m not going to ask her why she did that. It’s her choice. I don’t want to sound rude to anyone, but the films I do as an actor are the most important to me. I’m so caught up in this world of what I’m doing and the people who’re working with me. That is my whole social and professional life. So if you are not working with me, I’m not wishing you good or bad. But I wish her the best. She’s a great filmmaker. She doesn’t tell me not to work with XYZ actor, so how can I tell her?

How’s your equation with Aamir?
I think many a time, Aamir has misconstrued my sense of humour and now he has countered it with his sense of humour, and I respect that. But I’ve never had any ill-will or any disturbing fallouts with Aamir. I often find him saying things, of course, if it’s interesting, then it’s all right, because I too have a sense of humour. Also, it gives me a license to be funny about Aamir whenever I want. Earlier I used to call him and ask him, “Aamir, I’m making this joke, is it ok?” Now I don’t need to ask him. We can say whatever we want. He’s a marvelous guy, amazingly concentrated, conscientious, an absolutely focused film actor; one of the greatest of our times. At times we meet and call, and sometimes I go and watch his films. He is very interested that people see his films and talk about it. We have a warm relationship. But I don’t think we have an issue-based relationship. In the words of Aamir Khan, ‘All Izz Well’.

Have matters cooled down with Salman?
No, I don’t speak with Salman. And I think even he chooses not to; which is absolutely all right. We’re two different people, very happy in our spaces, and very good in our spaces. And I think it should remain like that. But it’s not animosity, it’s not anger, and it’s not disturbing. People ask if we avoid each other at public places; frankly, we don’t. If we do meet what are we going to do? I’m happy for his films and I’m happy if he’s at peace; because when I came to Mumbai, his family and he were wonderful to me and my family, and they still continue to be. They are amazingly nice and gentle people. Only two people amongst them have an issue and I think we’re too old and set to try and resolve it in any other way. Salman and I are settled ‘in’ our differences; we have not yet settled our differences.”

Priyanka Chopra’s fitness regime has gone for a toss just before she begins shooting for Khatron Ke Khiladi that was previously hosted by the daredevil Akshay Kumar. The actor has shown that she likes to be a perfectionist in her work and thus has pressed the panic button because she doesn’t want to be underprepared when she does the deadly stunts that the reality show on Colors is known to belt out. By being not up to the mark on fitness would mean that Priyanka might also be running the risk of getting injured while doing the strenuous stunts as her body has not been adequately built to take the pressure and stress.

“Due to the hectic travel schedule that Priyanka has been having for the past four months having travelled to US for her movie Anjaana Anjaani, then Malaysia and now Coorg for the shooting of Saat Khoon Maaf; she hasn’t really got enough time to work on her fitness. She was in Mumbai too for three days but there was so much happening and she needed to do so much that she had no time to hit the gym. She needs to build her body and stamina to cope up with the back-breaking stunts that the show will have this time around. The stunts are getting harder and tougher every year. With her body not being in the level that can easily cope up with these action sequences, she runs a great risk,” says an insider very close to the developments.
“Priyanka understands this and has thus given a deep thought on how to work on her fitness even when she is travelling. She immediately reached a solution to her problem as she has now flown her trainer Nadir from Mumbai to her outdoor shoot in Coorg where she will be camped for nearly two months. Priyanka now religiously makes it a point to work out on her fitness for a minimum one hour right after her shooting ends for the day. She is now shaping up very well to take on the show. Priyanka has done action before like in Don and Drona and thus her body is quite trained to handle action. She now just has to take her body back to that level,” reveals an eyewitness from Coorg.

They made their debut together in J P Dutta’s Refugee. And, somewhere deep down, Kareena Kapoor has always wanted to make another film with Abhishek Bachchan.

Personal circumstances willed it otherwise. In the last decade, many things have changed. From a newbie, Bebo has become the No 1 heroine in the trade. She is in a position today to call the shots. And yet somewhere within her, is has an unfulfilled desire.
Says a source close to the actress, “Bebo has won several awards for Best Actress. She has to her credit a couple of Bollywood’s biggest hits Jab We Met and 3 Idiots. But, just like she craves to do exceptional work, she also has this long standing desire to team up with Abhishek.”

The actress admits that according to her, Abhishek is one of the most talented heroes in showbiz. “If a producer was to cast Abhishek and me together, I would definitely be happy,” she says. And though she will not discuss this subject at length, there are people in the trade who feel Kareena and Abhishek will make a winning screen pair and the film-maker who casts them (if ever) would have managed a coup. An insider says, “On her part, Kareena carries no baggage as far as Abhishek is concerned. Should there ever be a proposal to cast them together, she’ll be only too happy to sign the film.”

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is known for pampering his two children. And now, he is set to enthrall children across the country with a new musical drama that he is producing for a children’s TV channel.

The show will include a soundtrack of 11 original tracks. Other than various child artistes, Ishaan will see television personalities Shruti Ulfat, Rajinder Mehra and Rajiv Paul as part of the cast.

Anushka Sharma was linked to her co-star Shahid Kapoor during the making of their movie.

However, the actress has already denied those rumours. Anushka, who will be seen in Patiala House with Akshay Kumar, seems to be busy romancing Bollywood biggies on the big screen (she made her debut opposite Shahrukh Khan , remember?). So, isn’t love important to her? “There’s no time for love. Relationships require commitment. I’m too selfish at the moment to be in one. My antenna is not up for love,” she smiles.

Bollywood star Salman Khan’s film shoot in Dubai at the Khalid bin Walid station on Friday was honeymoon-perfect, says the actor.

It was the first time that a Bollywood song sequence was shot at a Dubai Metro station.

“We wanted to keep it realistic. Very real. I play a corrupt cop from a small village in Bihar and Dubai was a perfect location because it’s a perfect blend of the east and the west. We are very comfortable here and the crime rate is zero,” said Khan, addressing a few reporters late on Saturday.

“Even the locals speak our language, they understand Hindi and speak English. It feels like an exotic foreign country but you are not travelling eight hours or feeling handicapped.”

In the film, the Dubai metro appears in a dream sequence where Khan, who plays a small-time cop, serenades his bride, played by debutante Sonakshhi Sinha.

“We shot on all the three levels: near the ticketing counter, at the station and there is a scene where Sonakshi gets into the train leaving me behind. We are not running around trees anymore, now we are doing it around trains.”

Dabangg, an action drama, is slated to release during Eid….
