I’m willing to work with Kareena again:Shahid

21 04 2010

A lot has happened, in your life, since Jab We Met

True. All for good I guess. I’ve become more mature and responsible, understood my flaws and learned from my mistakes.

And what would they be?

I think we all prefer to keep our flaws and mistakes to ourselves. I learned from them and that’s all that matters. Same with my strengths. So, yeah, life has been good and challenging. I am taking it as it comes.

We also read reports that you are doing Air Force training for Mausam?

Yes. I am playing an Air Force pilot in the film, and I think it is important that I do some background research. It involves a lot of national security issues, but if I get the permission it is nice to learn something.

What is happening with Milenge Milenge?

I have done my part and am promoting the film. I am doing what I am asked to.

Will you be promoting it with Kareena Kapoor?

I don’t know. If I am asked to, sure.

Would you work with her again?

Nothing has been offered to us yet but yeah, why not?

What about Mausam? The film is already creating quite a buzz…

True. It’s funny but nice that the film is being talked about so much, even before shooting. Shooting starts soon and I’ll be able to talk more about it then.

Shahid looks like Devdas: Sonam Kapoor

21 04 2010

Shahid Kapur is a changed man. He has been seen sporting a full-grown beard lately. His facial makeover made Sonam Kapoor, his co- star in the movie Mausam, tweet: “Shahid is looking like a Devdas!”

Before you start believing, we must say that the look is for Mausam. “The beard is a test-look for Mausam. The shooting will start in two to three weeks and we are trying out different looks to suit the character,” Shahid says.

He tweeted about his beard too. “Starting to get used to the beard… but it’s weird how it takes u into a state of mind… mmmm the power of the beard.” Shahid will play a pilot in the movie.

Sonam working on 5 projects!!

4 04 2010

New Delhi, April 3 (IANS) Sonam Kapoor has just done two movies since her debut in 2007, but this year, the actress has her hands full with the release of two projects and shooting schedules of three movies.
The 24-year-old, who was first seen opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Saawariya” and later in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s “Delhi-6″, is awaiting the release of “Aisha” and “I Hate Luv Storys” in 2010.

“Guys, I’ve finished filming ‘Aisha’ and ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ and they will be my two releases this year. I’m working on three films this year. I’m doing ‘Thank You’, ‘Mausam’ and the third one I can’t talk about,” Sonam posted on her Twitter page Saturday.

In “Aisha”, which is an adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel Emma, Sonam plays the role of an uber chic high society girl and has three actors opposite her – Abhay Deol, Arunudoy Singh and popular veejay Cyrus Sahukar. It is expected to release in August.

Slated to release in July, “I Hate Luv Storys” is a romantic movie produced by Karan Johar and directed by debutant Punit Malhotra. It will have Sonam cast alongside Imran Khan and Sammir Dattani.

In the midst of promoting these films, Sonam will also be giving time to her new films – Anees Bazmee’s romantic comedy “Thank You” opposite Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Kapoor’s “Mausam” with his son Shahid and another project, the details for which she isn’t ready to give out as yet.

Sonam paired opposite Shahid in Mausam!

28 03 2010

Shahid Kapoor’s father Pankaj Kapur has finally selected a girl for him. The girl who will play the main lead opposite Shahid in ‘Mausam’. And there was no nationwide hunt for her; she just appealed to Mr. Kapur who is turning director for the first time with this film.

Dhan Tana! She is the sweet and svelte Sonam Kapoor, who gets a chance to work with Shahid for the first time. But it hasn’t been easy for the actress as the director is a stickler for discipline.

As a tabloid reports, during workshops, Sonam got her first lesson from Pankaj. And it was a lesson in punctuality. We hear that whenever Sonam arrived late for the workshop, she found the classes cancelled. It was Kapur senior’s way of making her realize the importance of punctuality.

For the movie, Shahid has taken a break from his other assignments. Let’s see what Pankaj will bring out on the big screen with the Shahid-Sonam pair.

Waiting!

~Thanks to Shahid Kapoor Facebook page 🙂

My Word: Can’t wait to see these two together on the big screen 🙂

Amrita, Shahid, & their future together!

26 02 2010

(NOTE: AMRITA HAS HER HANDS AROUND SHAHIDS!! 🙂 )

(Above: Recent..Shahid, Amrita and Vishal (Ishq Vishk team) at Shahids 2010 B-day Bash) Shahid and Amrita sooo cute 🙂

Recently Amrita Rao was seen at Shahid Kapoor’s Birthday Bash and now the rumors of them “ending their friendship” has been thrown in the trash!

Shahid and Amrita have already garnered good acclaim as co-stars for their performance and chemistry in Vivah and Ishq Vishk.

“Amrita is supposed to don a new experimental avatar for Neelima’s film that also is looking to have Shahid playing the lead. This development is giving out strong hints that Shahid’s mother definitely likes Amrita on a professional level or else she wouldn’t be looking to cast her opposite her own son for the ambitious movie in which she has been pouring in her heart and soul,” says an insider close to the development.

Meanwhile, while rumours are strong thatAmrita was not considered for Shahid’s dad Pankaj Kapur’s directorial venture that also has Shahid in the lead, the informer adds that Amrita was in fact approached by the veteran actor.

“Pankaj Kapur had approached Amrita for Mausam initially. However, things didn’t materialize as Pankaj was looking for a fresh combination with Shahid, although he is very fond of Amrita,” the source justifies.

Though Amrita was unavailable for a comment, her publicist confirmed the story to us.

Help I tweet at 4am: Shahid Kapoor

23 02 2010

Having finished all his assignments, the actor has no projects on hand at the moment besides his dad’s  filmMausam. A timely visit to papa Pankaj Kapoor’s spiritual guru in the hills has shown Shahid the virtues of stillness in an otherwise-overactive lifestyle.

Says Shahid, “All I can say is, faith makes all things possible. That’s why it’s called a leap of faith. I was working 20 hours a day till the 20th of January. I was working insanely. When I woke up on the 21st I had no work to go to. Initially, I felt a sense of freedom. Then immediately it was followed by panic…what do I do with myself? I’ve become an insomniac and started tweeting at 4 am. I don’t feel tired. I feel I haven’t earned the right to rest. And I don’t know what to do with myself!”

However, there is the upside. “Everytime I’ve sat at home without work it has worked for my career. I did it before Vivah and before Jab We Met.” Shahid will be doing only one film in 2010, and that is his Dad Pankaj Kapoor’s Mausam. He will serve as a hands-on technician, spotboy whatever…for his dad’s project. “While I’m being directed by my Dad I’d like to learn in every department. I want to learn about cinematography, chorepgraphy and direction. Most of all I’d learn a lot about acting from my Dad. I want to try and absorb from him.”

The thought of acting in front of his father petrifies Shahid. “It’s a very scary thought. But in life you’ve to face challenges. Of course, there’s anxiety and fear about acting in front of my father. I quite often think I’ve given a decent performance. And then when I hold a trial show for my father all the confidence crumbles.”

Shahid remembers a nightmarish incident when he had to act in front of the great Pankaj Kapoor. “ I remember this one time when we were shooting for Jab We Met near Khandala. Dad dropped in and was watching me on the monitor. And I just couldn’t give my shot! I actually had to tell my dad to leave. I tactfully told him to proceed, and I’d join him for lunch. He immediately understood. And my next shot was okay.”

Explaining his reason for staying away from all other projects Shahid says, “It’s a film very close to my heart because after 35 years of acting, Dad is finally directing a film. After being the best actor in the country (that’s what I believe him to be) he has decided to make a film with me in the lead because he wants to project me in a certain way. It’s a huge sacrifice for someone who does so little work as an actor. The least I can do is to be there unconditionally for him during the time that he makes the film.”

To prepare for Mausam Shahid needs to go train as pilot at a military academy. Says Shahid, “I don’t want to reveal right now what all I’ll be doing. But yes, I do play an airforce pilot. But if you think I’ll learn how to fly a plane for the film then all I can say is, I haven’t reached that stage of madness.”
