Background: Bipasha verse Katrina

As you know I usually have a reason for choosing the topics that I choose on “You Vote” they usually have a reason behind them. So why did I choose Katrina vs Bips?? Well it’s all about there huge fight. They both claim it is because of there respective boyfriends John and Salman ( way to screw up again boys!!) Anyway, it all happened at the Rockstars performance that is held by Salman Khan. He invited John to perform and then they got into a fight ( Note: This is where the whole Sallu-Shahid fight happened also!!). So anyway that’s why Bips and Kat are fighting. I really don’t think they should fight because of there boyfriends stupidy!! But anyway they still worked together in “Race” and they both say they wouldn’t let anything come between thier professional live…Sounds like another Priyanka-Kareena to me!!
Well I hope they one day get along and realize they’re fighting over nothing really!!
So there…that’s the reason for this topic..So GO VOTE!!!!

Kareena Kapoor in, Katrina Kaif out for ‘Race 2’ !!!!!!

11 02 2009

To tell you the truth, I actually thought that ‘Race’ was a good movie..And  I was hoping that in ‘Race-2’ that Katrina Kaif and Akshay Khanna would magically reappear! But well Katrina Kaif’s out and now Kareena Kapoor is in. I’m not sure I’ll like the new stars but I guess it’s worth a try!!

One of the 2008’s biggest grosser of the year Abbas-Mustan’s Race is again in news. Firstly for its sequel and most importantly for Kareena factor. Katrina who was part of the blockbuster Race is out of the Race sequel. She has been replaced by none other than her biggest rival Kareena Kapoor.

Ramesh Taurani from Tips says, “Yes, we are already working on the script of Race 2. We were thrilled with Race’s success. Theatrically and overseas, it grossed Rs 120 crore and was one of the blockbusters of 2008; that’s why we are planning a sequel to it. Abbas-Mustaan will direct the sequel while Saif and Anil will be retained. We are also going in for new casting with the sequel. Kareena will act in Race 2 opposite Saif. In Race, the story will be different while some of the characters will remain the same.”

Saif remarked, “I am very excited to be part of the Race sequel. I have been offered many sequels but there are only certain films which merit a sequel Race is one of them. We aim to make Race 2 better than the original. It will be slicker, faster, sexier, more thrilling and upgraded in a much bigger way from Race.”

Race 2 will be the third flick in which Saif will be paired opposite Kareena.

Bipasha Basu doesn’t look Katrina as a friend!!!

14 01 2009

Katrina Kaif and Bipasha Basu both are gorgeous actresses in Bollywood Film Industry and they have a huge list of their well-wishers. They have teamed up together in ‘Race’ and ‘Hum Ko Deewana Kar Gaye’. It is said that Both Katrina Kaif and Bipasha Basu are not friends.

Bipasha Basu stated, “I don’t treat Katrina as my friend and I don’t have any equation with her. If someone gives me a vibe, I behave in the same fashion. I have not come in Bollywood Film Industry to make friends. We are the professional actresses but we don’t talk.”

Talking about her friendship with Kareena Kapoor she said, “There has never been a fight between us. Kareena is a good friend of mine. At Saif Ali Khan’s birthday party she took good care of me and didn’t leave me alone even for a second. She is a good human being and I didn’t get a chance to know her before.”

On the other hand Katrina Kaif has also the same position with Bipasha Basu. Katrina Kaif is working with her boyfriend John Abraham in forthcoming film ‘New York’ so it is learnt that there may be friendship between them.

Happy Birthday Bipasha Basu!!!!!!!!!!!

7 01 2009

And somehow, despite churning out fewer hits and more misses, the actress, who entered filmdom in 2001, has managed to constantly hog the limelight in the year that went past, thanks to her oomph factor.

Her share of success in 2008 came with films like Race and Bachna Ae Haseeno. And now, she’s ready to break away from conventional bimbette roles and taking on challenging roles. In Lamhaa, for instance, Bipasha is all set to change the dynamics of physical appearances of a Kashmiri girl.

“When you think of a Kashmiri girl, especially in our movies, what comes to mind is a fair-skinned, light-eyed girl. But I want to disprove that myth. The pre-conceived notions have to be overcome,” says Bipasha. The actress is bent on putting together a convincing act and had even invited a Kashmiri woman to Mumbai in order to study her body language, speech patterns and mannerisms. “I think I’m going to be more keen on getting it right than the director. I’ve never done a film like this  before. The role requires me to be someone else altogether. And for this, I needed help. I wanted to play the character the way girls really are today in Kashmir. Very simple,” explains the actress.

Unlike other actors, Bipasha is not very keen to try her luck in Hollywood. “I found out that I will have to start again there, from scratch, like screen tests and other tantrums. They treat you like a newcomer. So I’ve decided to stay in Mumbai and be the ‘queen’ here,” she had said.

And now, she says, “India is a very comfortable place for us because we have already made a niche here. So why would anyone want to go and struggle there? I don’t want to. I have gone through my struggle.”
Bipasha’s future projects include Aa Dekhen Zara (which was earlier called Freeze).

Happy Birthday Bips !!!!! WE LOVE YOU !!!!! 🙂 🙂
